Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"You'd rather.. exist here only a few more decades instead of just ending it all right now?"
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Tell me, did you ever go to a docter as a child?"
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Now this question baffled her. "What do you mean, a doctor?"
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"A pediatrician(sp?). Children go to see one annually. Did you do this?"
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Oh.. I suppose. Rand has an MD, so my parents let him take care of me when I was sick."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Did you like going to the docter then?"
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn laughs. "I suppose by my answering of all these questions, you'll be able to figure who I was friends with, my favorite food and my shoe size."
She shakes her head. "I didn't really have much choice.. It was either go to Rand if I was ill or be miserable." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Oh but don't tell my you enjoyed Rand's company as a child."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I didn't. But my parents trusted him, so I trusted him as well."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hm, well to death is something I dread, as I shall know nothing but suffering for the rest of eternity. Therefore, I want as much time in peace as possible."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"So you're going to be fighting against Rand." She falls silent.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Rikali shifts in her seat, enjoying the conversation. "If I may be so bold as to intrude...why is this Rand character trying to kill you when he was a friend of your family's when you were a child?"
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"We didn't realize at the time what he his intentions were. He came across as a somewhat ridiculous, but friendly man."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"A devil never appears as himself."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"There's a godly amount of truth in that..." She glances at Alinos. "Out of curiosity, how long have you dwelled on the Earth?"
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Since the time before the races were scatter and they all spoke one language. In fact, it wasn't long after the creation of Eve."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She nods, but frowns slightly. "To a mortal... That seems like such a vast amount of time. It's hard to fathom that there were millions of lives that came and went before my own."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Trust me, immortality on this planet is a curse, not a blessing."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I suppose that for you it's better than what lies after it." She rubs her forehead wearily, as if she had a headache.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
hmm. Well, it looks like we're all having a rough day. *he holds his hand over his drink, and it steadily evaporates* Either way, earth isn't a kind place. But then, if it wasn't, I wouldn't be here now would I...
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
*walks in and sits down* this is my first time here
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Riki's eyes shine. "There are few races that live forever. Not even the elves or the dragons commit such a feat. What sin did you complete to be cursed so?"
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
*materializes near VampChick* well welcome then. *waves his arm and a glass appears in his hand* here, I'll buy you a drink if you like.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I rebelled with Lucifer. I'm technically an Archdemon, but I choose not to be reffered to as such."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
wow...*sips his drink* that sure was stupid.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She arches an eyebrow. "It probably only seems 'stupid' now that it's been said and done for thousands of years."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
heh. yeah, well don't forget I was alive when that happened. I may have only recently come here, but I knew enough before to recognize lucifer as a dirty wretch.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"It was, in retrospect, foolish. However, we did not know evil before Lucifer. It was easy for us to be enticed by something alien to our nature."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
well, it does make sense. It is rather hard to take orders blindly. you didn't know the consequences of your actions by rebelling...but know that I am not justifing anything.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Rikali whistles and sits back. "That is indeed a long time ago." She grins suddenly. "Any historian would love to talk to you."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
ha! Human historians are so unreliable. They don't even hold an account of what happened *looks up* up there...except, of course, the bible. humans are surprisingly dull witted. they reject whatever is strange to them.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I suppose I'll ignore that remark." She reaches behind the bar for a glass to fill with water.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"A reason why the human race has continued to destroy this earth through their petty warfare." The demon grins again and starts to toss a knife in the air.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Then there's a dense demon like you."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She shrugs. "I may be dense, but I'm not cursed with immortality, Archdemon." Grinning, she catches the knife and throws it back up. "Besides...I am only a demon body."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
It is, really, quite tradgic how a human will let their feelings control their actions.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn chooses to ignore this remark as well. It really baffled her why the people and creatures of other races always remark on how superior they are to the humans and how the humans managed to ruin it for everyone. Still, while she felt resentment there was no point in starting anything about it. She stands with her glass of water and wanders to the other side of the room.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I could relive you of that body, if you continue."
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
*telepathically* because we weren't the ones whose ancestors cursed there own world. I never said ALL humans were stupid, but you must admit that your race has very delicate feelings. On top of that, you can't honestly tell me that something in your body - pain, hunger perhaps-has never led you to do something you would regret. When you are a being whose mind is not affected by his body, you tend to think diferently.
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"You act as if emotion is a sin within itself." The water in her glass starts to freeze until it is completely solid, then the glass shatters. She lets the pieces fall to the ground, then examines a nick on her palm that's slightly oozing blood.
